Alma Foods, a subsidiary of Hormel Foods Corporation and produces a wide range of cooked meals, has announced on Friday May 8, 2020 that the company is resuming its manufacturing process after a brief voluntary closure due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. The company has further said that it has now adopted the industry-leading safety and health measures to ensure the safety of its workers and staff during working hours.
The leading safety measures introduced by the company, including the revised shift scheduling, deep cleaning of high-touch areas, new guidelines on carpooling and the reconfiguration of workstations and common areas. The eatery-based company has now ensured to implement the strict safety and health guidelines in the company that would help to exceed or at least meet the OSHA and CDC recommended guidelines. Previously, the company has decided to shut down their operations due Covid-19 pandemic and other factors.
Alma Food Plant Manager, Shane Weers said, “We have an incredible team of inspired people at Alma Foods and while we know that this current COVID-19 pandemic has been a very difficult situation for our team members, their families, our friends and neighbors and our community, we are eager to get back to doing what we love and that’s making great food. We have put the safety of our team members first throughout this pandemic and will continue to do so.”
